this more and more often these days. The ever-present wealth envy has
settled (for the time being) on the idea that evil, nasty, putrid,
scummy, disgusting, horrible, noxious rich people just don’t pay taxes,
and it’s about time someone come along and make them pony up. I’ve
already read for you several emails from people complaining that they
know for an absolute fact that rich people are rich because they don’t
pay their taxes … and they know this because they know a CPA
somewhere and their CPA friend told them so.

Do you really want to know how Barack Obama is going to cut taxes on 95% of Americans when 45% of these Americans don’t pay income taxes in the first place? You should already know the answer to this question … but if you’ve been listening to too much sports talk radio, here you go. It’s very simple. Obama will just pass a series of new tax credits for the Americans. Tax credits — sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Those tax credits will lower taxes for just about everyone! Well … there are a few things you need to know about these so-called credits.

First … these tax credits will not be available to the evil high income earners who we rely on to create the new jobs that will help our economy grow. The tax credits are only for people who might be likely to vote democrat.

Secondly … they’re not just tax credits, they’re “refundable” tax credits. In other words, they’re a fraud. As we know, about 45% of Americans don’t pay income taxes. A tax credit is not useful to someone who owes no income taxes … unless, that is, it is a “refundable” credit. Now what does that mean? It means that if you do not make enough to pay income taxes, the government will simply write you a check equal to the amount of the credit you can’t use! Do you know what we used to call this? Welfare, that’s what. Barack Obama’s promise of a tax cut for 95% of Americans is really nothing less than a promise of a new welfare income redistribution program. Doesn’t make sense or sound fair does it?  Can anyone say “buying votes”?

The latest snafu on the Obama trail is a picture of Obama’s seat on O-Force One (his fancy plane where the American flag was replaced with the Obama seal). Anyway, the picture shows Obama’s chair with the word “President” listed on it. Big deal? Not really. But if you collectively look at these little things, they are adding up to a very big picture: the arrogance of Barack Obama.

Here’s a lame explanation of Obama’s arrogance from UCLA political scientist Mark Sawyer. He says, “There’s an interesting line building on Obama that somehow success and intelligence are a handicap … If he wasn’t extraordinary, he wouldn’t be there. But then he is extraordinary and it becomes, ‘He is just too good, too well spoken, too accomplished.’ “

Well we have clearly covered the “accomplished” argument … but being “too good and too well spoken” does not mean that you can go around acting as if you are the greatest gift to the world. As a columnist last week said, the people of this country are just waiting for Barack Obama to get his designer shoes dirty. People who are criticizing Obama aren’t criticizing him because he is intelligent or successful – they are criticizing him because of his policies … and now his arrogance.”

You have to be loving this one. There’s Jessie sitting in front of a microphone in Chicago .. waiting to go on the air .. and the mic is live. Suddenly Jesse feels the urge to tell the guy sitting next to him that he wants to cut Barack Obama’s nuts off. Apparently Jesse is upset because Barack is “talking down to black people.”

Now first of all, wasn’t Jesse the one who started this hyphenated-Americanism thing with the insistence that blacks be called African-Americans? Shouldn’t that have been “talking down to African Americans?”

LET’S START OUT WITH MUSLIM SCHOOLS

Private Muslim schools in Great Britain have asked for special inspection privileges … and the British government has complied. It is completely the government’s fault for submitting to the sensitivities of Islam. Even though Muslim schools are known to be promoting religious segregation and are not preparing students for life in modern Britain, these schools will now be getting a pass.

Under current legislation, almost all government and private schools are inspected by Osted, which is a government standards watchdog. An association applied to have the government set up a separate inspector for some private faith schools. And the government caved. This new, independent watchdog is set up to be more “sensitive” toward Islamic education. Religious leaders defend the move, saying that the curriculum and religious traditions of the schools demand specialist knowledge.

FEMALE MUSLIM DOCTORS

OK, moving right along to female Muslim medical students in Great Britain. They are refusing to obey hygiene rules that have been put into effect to stop the spread of deadly superbugs . I’ll give you one guess as to why they refuse … because the rules are against their religion. Muslim females training in several hospitals around England object to removing their arm coverings while in surgery and to rolling up their sleeves when washing their hands. This is considered immodest in Islam.

The new policy is that all doctors must “bare below the elbow” but in some extreme cases, female Muslims are refusing to “scrub” because this exposes their forearms. Some students are saying that they would prefer to quit than to expose their arms. Fine. Let them go. What patient in their right mind would want a doctor who refused to scrub themselves after surgery because it was against their religion. In the meantime, their stupidity could be spreading deadly viruses and bugs to other patients.

GOVERNMENT PAYS FOR THIS CREEP TO LIVE

Terrorists living in Great Britain are getting paid by the government to live there … thanks to the wonderful world of entitlement benefits. Mohammed Nawaz Raja is funding terrorists who are killing troops in Afghanistan, while living a comfortable life in Great Britain thanks to his government benefits. Nawaz goes door-to-door raising thousands of British pounds for his “charity,” which he says is a religious school. Instead, the money is used to buy weapons for the Taliban. He claims to have sent the Taliban hundreds of thousands of pounds.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Nawaz owns a five-bedroom house worth $700,000. But he pockets $500 per week in government handouts. He says, “I’m a British national. The government pays me to live.”

Are you outraged yet, folks?

GOVERNMENT PAYS FOR MULTIPLE WIVES

And speaking of handouts … husbands with multiple wives (read: Muslims) will now be able to claim extra welfare benefits from the government. Bigamy is a crime in Britain, but this decisions means that marriages will now be recognized formally by the state, as long as the weddings took place in countries were it is legal.

The income to support all of these wives will be paid directly into the husband’s bank account. The husband may also be eligible for additional housing benefits and council tax benefits because of the larger property that is needed for all of his wives.

The government has failed to identify how much more money this is going to cost the taxpayers of England.

Just in case you have forgotten the beauty of Hillary’s healthcare plan, let us remind you here. In a recent interview with George Stephanopoulos, it took him three tries to get Hillary to answer the question: What happens to people who choose not to have government healthcare?

Her response: “George, we will have an enforcement mechanism. Whether it’s [garnishing wages of people who don't comply] or it’s some other mechanism through the tax system or automatic enrollments.”

So let’s quickly review what would happen to you, the loyal taxpayer, if you choose to purchase your own healthcare, rather than relying on the government to provide it for you.

Scenario #1: The government takes you to court in order to pay. Hillary says that “garnishing wages of people who don’t comply” is an option. That means that there is a court-ordered process to take property from you in order to satisfy your debt to the government. The government takes your property in order to use your money for the service of others (in this case it would be healthcare). Sounds fair, right?

What we have here is a clear indication that Hillary considers you and everything you possess to be the property of the U.S. Government.

Scenario #2: Using the tax system as enforcement. I could think of a really easy way to eliminate this option. Wouldn’t it be great to take away that power from Hillary? If she no longer had the IRS and our convoluted tax system to satisfy her socialist agenda, imagine the power you, the people, would have.

Scenario #3: And the last scenario would not give you any option of whether or not you would like to have government healthcare. It would be mandated. Where did your freedom of choice or individual responsibility go? If Hillary has it her way, you wouldn’t have any, would you? That’s just the way the single women - I’m sorry, unmarried women - want it.

This is for all you Second Amendment protesters. Six years ago, Michigan made it much easier to get a license to carry a concealed weapon. Since then, the number of Michigan residents carrying legal concealed weapons has increased more than six-fold. The usual anti-gun rhetoric would tell us that there much be a lot of increased violence in Michigan. We’re sure that every morning the police are busy picking up the bodies that are scattered about … victims of gun-wielding citizens.

Sorry .. .the typical anti-gun rhetoric would be wrong.

According to law enforcement officials, the incidence of violent crime in Michigan since the law went into effect has been below the rate of the previous six years. In other words, there was less crime once citizens were able to arm themselves. The overall incidence of death from firearms has also gone down. The police chief says that the general consensus is that things were not as bad as they expected.

Well that’s not surprising. After all, studies of concealed weapons laws show that crime rates reduce when citizens are allowed easier access to concealed weapons. What does the gun control lobby have to say about those statistics?

This is a prime example of just how stupid school’s are becoming.  This is so asinine it’s insane.  Thanks Neal for keeping us informed.  Here, check it out:

“According to this story from WorldNetDaily, California government schools have banned the words “Mom,” “Dad,” husband,” and “wife.” Well .. at least that’s the argument from the Capitol Resource Institute, and since we’re talking about California here … they may not be too far off. All it will take now is a lawsuit or two to get things rolling. Governor Schwarzenegger signed the bill which also orders government schools to allow boys to use girls’ restrooms and locker rooms and vice versa.

One of the bills signed is SB777, which ban anything that could be interpreted as negative toward homosexuality, bisexuality and alternative lifestyles. Another is AB394 which targets parents and teachers with “anti-harassment” training.

Any text, reference or teaching aid that alludes to the idea of marriage as only between a man and a woman is banned. Any materials that say that people are born as either male or female – and does not offer an ‘in between’ option – is officially banned. Any sources that do not include transsexual, bisexual and homosexual historical figures can no longer be used. And sex education materials must offer the option of a sex change.

Moving on, homecoming kings can no longer be limited to just males. The same goes for homecoming queens. And students can choose which restrooms and locker rooms they want to use, the restrooms that correspond to what they believe their sexual orientation to be.

This same bill will promote these issues by using taxpayer money to create publications, postings, curricula and handouts for students, teachers and parents. It also says that parents who refer to marriage by only its “traditional” terms in the presence of a gay teacher could be convicted of harassment. And students who believe that you are born just male and female could be reported as a harasser.

Analysts are afraid that this legislation will affect schools across the county. This is because textbook publishers must cater to their largest purchaser … and that is often-times California. It would be too expense to have separate editions of textbooks for other states.”

From Neal Boortz: Our House of Representatives was busy yesterday voting on a very, very important resolution … “Recognizing the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and commending Muslims in the United States and throughout the world for their faith.”It resolves that:

(1) during this time of conflict, in order to demonstrate solidarity with and support for members of the community of Islam in the United States and throughout the world, the House of Representatives recognizes the Islamic faith as one of the great religions of the world; and

(2) in observance of and out of respect for the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, the House of Representatives acknowledges the onset of Ramadan and expresses its deepest respect to Muslims in the United States and throughout the world on this significant occasion.

I’ll express my deepest respect for Islam when the world’s Muslims turn against their own radical element.

Ramadan, by the way, has traditionally been a time for Muslims to step up their efforts to kill Jews.

Once again Neal gets it right:  The Indianapolis International Airport is amidst reconstruction with a new $1.07 billion airport terminal to open in November 2008. But the government hacks spending the money didn’t happen to forget the 100 Muslim cab drivers that wait at the airport to pick up passengers – so long as they do not have a dog or carry liquor.The airport will be installing brand news restrooms for the cabdrivers equipped with floor-level sinks … in other words, foot baths. An item clearly used solely for religious purposes and solely by one religion: Islam.

The excuse was that the old restroom only had one sink, and Muslims felt embarrassed washing their feet in front of people in the one sink. Sometimes they even had to carry water bottles to clean their feet outside instead. A real pain.

Each foot bath costs between $400 to $600 to purchase and install.

Michael Saahir, an imam at the Nur-Allah Islamic Center of Indianapolis, says that drivers deserve better accommodations, and that this is long overdue. According to him, Indianapolis is “coming of age.” No .. this isn’t “coming of age,” this is caving in to political correctness.

While we are on the subject of Muslim accommodation … why don’t you take a look at the lengths that Canada’s Quebec region is going to just to accommodate its Muslim minorities …
